How an idea became a company

KooSys is an engineering company from Regensburg that combines technical excellence with genuine partnership.

The company was founded at the end of 2020 and is an owner managed engineering company based in Regensburg at the TechBase Innovation Centre. Our team is growing continuously and combines deep expertise in embedded electronics, system integration and process consulting in the areas of quality management, functional safety and cyber security with an attitude built on openness, personal responsibility and real collaboration.

KooSys makes technological challenges solvable, with experience from the automotive world, genuine system understanding and a partnership oriented attitude that thinks beyond project boundaries.

We want to be the technology partner companies wish for before they even know they need one: the first point of contact for individual, software driven solutions.

André Koos, Founder & Managing Director

André Koos brings more than 25 years of experience in lighting and electronics development, from hardware related software development through system architecture to technical project management at OEM and Tier 1 level. Before founding KooSys, he gained this experience in the automotive industry, learning firsthand what works in practice and what does not.

The idea for KooSys had been on his mind for a while, and in 2020 the moment was right: not just to found a company, but to establish a way of working based on equal footing, personal responsibility and genuine technical depth. Without rigid corporate processes, without frustration over unheard ideas, but with the ambition to truly bring every project to success.

What drives André: to truly understand technology, not just apply it. To ask the questions others skip. And to build a team that shares and further develops this attitude. This commitment goes beyond his own company: as an advisory board member of the Cluster Mobility and Logistics, André actively contributes his experience to the ongoing development of the mobility and logistics industry.

As an owner managed company, we can react quickly. Changing requirements are not a problem for us, they are our advantage. Decisions are made promptly and not escalated through five levels.

What makes a KooSys project recognisable? In the end it was successful, no matter what obstacles came up along the way. We put together the right team, find creative solutions and do not give up until the solution is in place.
